MatchReel Privacy Policy

MatchReel is a personal game-day journal for sports parents. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your data when you use the app.

The short version

MatchReel does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything you add — games, photos, videos, scoreboard links — stays stored locally on your own device. We do not operate any server that receives your information, and we do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

What the app stores, and where

• Game details (sport, date, opponent, venue, result, summary, scoreboard link) are saved in a local database on your device.
• Photos and videos you attach are copied into the app's private storage area on your device, so they remain available even if removed elsewhere.
• None of the above ever leaves your device. There is no cloud sync, no account system, and no backend server in this version of the app.

Permissions the app requests

• Photo and video library access — used only when you choose to attach a photo or video to a game. The app cannot browse your library without your explicit selection.

MatchReel does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, or any other device permission.

Third parties

MatchReel does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. When you tap "Open scoreboard," the app opens the external website you linked (such as your league's scoring platform) in your device's browser; that site's own privacy policy governs what happens there — MatchReel has no visibility into it.

Children's privacy

MatchReel is intended for use by parents and guardians to record their children's sporting activities. Because all data stays on the parent's own device and nothing is transmitted anywhere, no data about a child is collected, stored remotely, or shared by this app.

Data deletion

Deleting a game or media item within the app permanently removes it from your device. Uninstalling the app removes all remaining app data. Because MatchReel holds no copy of your data anywhere else, there is nothing further to request or delete on our end.

Changes to this policy

If MatchReel later adds optional features that involve data leaving your device (for example, family sharing or cloud backup), this policy will be updated first, and those features will be clearly opt-in.
